Abstract
Objectives: This study was constructed to radiographically evaluate the change of bone graft material height according to the time past after sinus lift procedure with panoramic radiographs.

Methods: Among the patients who visited the department of Periodontology in Dankook University Dental Hospital from 2007 through 2015, subjects were those who went through sinus lift procedures via lateral approach technique and delayed or immediate placement of implants to restore maxillary molar area. In total of 331 sinus lift procedures, the change of bone graft material height was measured on panoramic radiographs.

Results: The follow-up period after sinus lift procedures varied from 6 months to 98 months, and bone graft materials used were allograft, xenograft, alloplast material alone or mixed. 15 cases with the follow-up record of 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months post-operation had average decrease in height by approximately 0.11 mm, 0.17 mm, 0.24 mm, respectively.

Conclusion: The height of bone graft materials after sinus lift procedures via lateral approach technique decreases.
